The eleventh annual European Mediscience Awards will be held on Thursday 21 June 2012 at the Hotel
InterContinental, London W1. Proceedings commence at 6.45 p.m. for drinks, dinner will be at 7.30 p.m. and the awards ceremony will commence after dinner at 9.20 p.m.
The after dinner entertainment will commence after the awards ceremony at 9.45 p.m., with carriages at 1.00 a.m.
Tickets, wine lists, drinks reception "hosted bar" arrangements and menus will be posted to table hosts only after payment for tables has been received in full.
Dress code: black tie.

Guillain-Barre develops as an autoimmune reaction following an acute infection. This is a highly dangerous and little known problem so any funding and publicity helps immensely. The Support Group relies entirely on voluntary contributions.
GBS is a severe and potentially fatal condition in which the body's immune system attacks the myelin sheath surrounding peripheral nerves. This may result in weakness and even complete paralysis including of the muscles for breathing and swallowing. There is a need for research to help us to understand the causes of GBS and the mechanisms of damage, to find therapies to speed up recovery and to support those left with long-term disability.
